LONDON -- Dallas Cowboys coach Jason Garrett talks http://www.nflchargersofficial.com/SUPER-BOWL-CHAD-RINEHART-JERSEY a lot about opportunity and privilege. He mentioned it again Tuesday when talking about Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley Stadium. "This is a unique opportunity for us and sometimes people get caught up in the logistics about, 'Boy, this is a pain to travel,'" Garrett said. "You just got to get your mind right and focus on how great an opportunity this is to be a part of and go put your best foot forward." The Cowboys might have had bags under their eyes and their bodies might have been tight from a nine-hour flight to London on Monday night, but by the time they took part in a Play 60 event at Power League soccer pitches outside Wembley, there were smiles. "Obviously everybody is tired right now, but from the perspective of we get an opportunity to play in Wembley Stadium on Sunday, in London, just a great opportunity for us," Jason Witten said. For about an hour, the Cowboys and representatives from Tottenham Hotspur put David Wilson Womens Jersey kids from Wembley Primary school through a series of drills -- football and soccer -- that ranged from catching passes, flag football and even touchdown dances. Witten has taken part in a number of Play 60 events over the years, but acknowledged this was different. "Just because they don’t know anything about football, nor do they care about us," Witten joked. "They don’t know who Tony Romo is. But yeah it's good to be able to do a lot of these just to see the excitement on their faces. I think it puts things in perspective for us as we get this thing started." Dez Bryant was welcomed by a student throwing up the receiver's trademark X. He taught several others how to do it and the kids even sang happy birthday to Bryant, who turned 26 on Tuesday. Bryant said he would grab dinner with some teammates to celebrate tonight and pick a night later in the week to check out the city. "We’re going to come here, have fun but at http://www.nflgiantsofficialonline.com/GIANTS-HENRY-HYNOSKI-JERSEY the same time we’re going to handle our business," Bryant said. "Coach Garrett made that very clear to us after the game. We here for business. Having this little time to enjoy with the kids that’s also special. I don’t think it’ll be a distraction. I don’t think that that’s going to take away any of our focus. We know what we’re here for." |
